Crazy From The Heat

As always, all politics aside......

This week, Ex-Vice President and resident de-facto climatologist, Al Gore, drew the comparison between critics of global warming and the racism of the anti-civil rights movement.

In the article from the Daily Caller, when asked if the analogy between climate skepticism and racism was a bit overdrawn, Gore stated "I think it’s the same where the moral component is concerned and where the facts are concerned I think it is important to get that out there, absolutely.”

My apology to every person of color who has ever been stigmatized by society, either by laws that violated your civil rights or by the deep-seated hate and bigotry that persisted long after the horrid injustices of the American Slave Trade were outlawed. I'm sure Mr. Gore, lacking the inherent capacity to empathize with the trivialization of racism that his remarks engender, would have chosen his words much wiser, had he or his family ever been the victims of such ignominy. Please forgive him. He may be, as they say, "Crazy from the heat."
